Internship Program
Harborview offers an exciting Internship Program for College Students. We collaborate with the top colleges in our area to offer internships in the fast-paced world of commercial real estate financing. Supplement your studies and gain exposure with practical, hands-on exposure to a large pipeline of deals, and regular interaction with the best originators and most knowledgeable analysts in the business. There is no better way to learn how to underwrite and sell finance products than experiencing it day by day. We work with most schools to offer work study course credit. We look to our interns first for new hires.Requirements
- Qualified Interns should be in their senior year, pursuing a finance or economics major and can commit at least 15 hours a week to the program.

Analyst
We are seeking a full-time financial analyst in our New York office who will be responsible for providing organizational and analytical support to an Origination Team that delivers various agency and proprietary debt products to multifamily and healthcare clients, including FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS, Bridge, and mezzanine. The candidate will be an integral part of the growth and development of Harborview’s commercial mortgage lending business.Requirements
- Two years prior work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel skills required
- FHA underwriting history preferred
- Maintain deal pipeline
- Track deals in processing
- Assist with completing the financial packages
- Partner with loan processors and borrowers to ensure all documentation needed for financial packages are received in a timely fashion
- Work with the closing department to ensure borrowers and lawyers are provided with all the data needed to close the loan
- Track timing and stages of each transaction
- Maintain client relationship and communication at each stage of transaction
- Recommend and establish processes and procedures that improve operational efficiency
- Ensure managers are kept informed about potential issues so they could be addressed

Originator
We are seeking a full-time Loan Originator in our New York office who will be responsible for sourcing and originating mortgage loans on commercial properties of all types. The candidate will be an integral part of the growth and development of Harborview’s commercial mortgage lending business. We have several positions available and will consider experienced originators as well as junior candidates with an interest in origination and the ability to sell. Base plus commission compensation.Requirements
- Two years prior experience in commercial real estate finance
- Proven track record of selling
- Knowledge of commercial mortgage lending
